on board info announces Infuzer, the Web's first dynamic date capturer
New York, 9th October - on board infoTM, the internet software company, today announces that it has closed second round funding with over US$4m. The investment was led by Interregnum, the technology investment house, the Nat West IT Fund and Cambridge Research and Innovation Ltd. The capital will be used to market and develop Infuzer (www.infuzer.com), on board info's free, new, one-click service that copies dates from the Web or an email straight to your electronic calendar. Infuzer will be demonstrated at booth 1803, Internet World Fall 2000, New York 25 - 27 October.
Infuzer is a simple but ground-breaking concept that will revolutionise the way Web sites interact with visitors. Wherever an Infuzer-enabled Web site refers to an event or date, either online or via email, a simple mouse-click will copy it into their electronic calendars. Any changes to dates will be automatically amended in users' electronic calendars
Ray Eitel-Porter, Chief Executive Officer, on board info, said: "With over four years' experience in the electronic calendar space, on board info is well positioned to take advantage of the proliferation of mobile technology and the Internet. This new backing gives us the capital to move on apace with our development of Infuzer and will enable us to build the resource and infrastructure necessary to expand into the US market."
Adrian Merryman, Chief Investment Officer, Interregnum, (www.interregnum.com) added: "Interregnum has been working with on board info as a venture marketing client since February 1999, helping to build the business and develop the augmented strategy for which this investment is being made. We are delighted that, since our flotation, we're in a position to back world-class technology ventures with our financial as well as intellectual capital."
In addition to product development, this second round of funding enables on board info to continue to strengthen its team, adding to both sales and marketing functions to boost partner acquisition and user uptake drives. on board info plans to open US offices in January 2001.
