...Major Investment Bank E-Commerce chief joins the dot-com revolution...
on board infoTM, the pioneering London-based electronic calendar software and e-commerce company, today announced the appointment of Jeremy Ruston to the newly-created post of Chief Technical Officer with immediate effect.
Ruston, who began his career in IT at the age of 16 as the author of a pioneering and best-selling series of computer manuals, is tasked with developing on board info's eCalendar CompanionTM series as well as building foundations for the company's e-commerce future.
Ray Eitel Porter, Chief Executive Officer, on board info, (http://www.infuzer.com) said: "We see Jeremy's appointment as a major coup and are delighted to have him on board. He joins us at an exciting period of our development into a fully-fledged e-commerce business and his experience and knowledge will be central to that process."
Ruston joins from major Investment Bank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where he was Joint Global Head of E-Commerce and was responsible for e-commerce systems for all business areas of the Bank. His strong technical, management and business skills will bolster the on board info technical roster who will now report directly into him.
Commenting on his appointment Ruston said: "In the Internet age it seems that everyone is trying hard to copy their nearest competitor, often with little success in a crowded market. I don't believe the same can be said of on board info and it is this difference that attracts me to this challenge."
The first two products in the eCalendar Companion series were launched recently in collaboration with The Economist and sportinglife.com and a further seven products are slated for the coming months from other leading names in the world of business, IT, law, travel and the weather.
